Lauded Buick Regal Gets TourX Wagon and Sportback Hatch Variants For 2018

In sedan form, the Buick Regal does an excellent job of being sporty, luxurious, and practical in a way most near-luxury or mainstream sedans can’t be. Now that the TourX wagon and Sportback hatch are joining the lineup, those characteristics will take on new life. Where the sedan is beloved for its performance and state-of-the-art tech, the added dimensions will really make these versions pop.

The same 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four drives things for both wagon and hatchback, with slightly different equipment and power numbers. The Regal TourX is offered with an eight-speed automatic sending 250-hp/295 lb-ft of torque to its exclusive AWD platform, while the Sportback has a nine-speed automatic with its FWD platform, and 250-hp/260 lb-ft of torque with option AWD. From what we’ve heard, the TourX will offer quite a bit of cargo space behind the front seats—73.5 cu-ft to be exact. Both models will come with IntelliLink on 7 to 8 inch screens, with phone connectivity.

With both of these models arriving this autumn, it’ll be a while before you can try them. However, you can still contact our Buick dealership in Clintonville, WI and put down your name. We’ll contact you when they arrive!
